FAQ's

We have attempted to answer some of the most popular questions below but please do not hesitate to contact us at anytime if you have any further or more detailed questions.

  • What are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal Fillers are made from Hyaluronic Acid which is found naturally in the body. Hyaluronic Acid absorbs moisture which creates a plumping effect which is why it is great for restoring areas that have lost volume. Different types of filler will have different levels of viscosity, which have all been designed to use in different areas of the face. At GB-Aesthetics we use a range of fillers and following a consultation, we will be able to determine the most suitable dermal filler to achieve the best possible results.
  • Will it hurt?
The procedure may involve some light pain or discomfort. Depending on the area being treated, the treatment usually takes between 20 and 30 minutes, and clients describe it as a tiny scratch as the needle goes in, with a slight stinging sensation as the filler is applied. For those feeling anxious, we can use numbing cream to numb the area completely.
  • Who will carry out my treatment?
At GB-Aesthetics every client seeking injectable treatments with dermal fillers is given an in-depth consultation that examines motivation and expectations. We have the highest level of regulation in the industry. Our Monmouth clinic is a safe, medical environment and your treatment will be carried out only by a highly qualified and experienced practitioner.
  • What happens at a consultation meeting?
A consultation is the best place to start when considering any type of treatment. A dermal filler consultation at GB-Aesthetics is a thorough discussion with a qualified practitioner who will take the time to analyse your skin, go through your medical history and discuss your desired results. After your consultation you should feel confident and well informed about your treatment.
  • Will I look dramatically different?
No, you will not look dramatically different after treatment. Our practitioners work like artists, using the natural contours of your face for guidance, and your normal facial expressions will remain unaffected. During your free consultation your practitioner will discuss the best plan for you to achieve the results you desire.
  • What if I don't like the results?
During your consultation a great amount of time will be spent discussing your expectations and only trained, qualified practitioners administer dermal fillers and Botox so there shouldn’t be any surprise or shock results following treatment. However, if you are not happy with the results, we can administer a solution that dissolves the filler almost instantly, leaving no lasting damage or effect.
  • Are you fully qualified?
Yes. I originally studied at Newport campus where I undertook an access to nursing course. Following this I decided to train solely within the Aesthetics sector, I believed focusing my efforts within a small field of the medical industry would allow me to be the specialist I desired to become. I I have been medically trained at foundation and advanced levels by the Academy of Beauty and Aesthetics Ltd in dermal fillers, anti-wrinkle injections and skin rejuvenation, as well as many other subject areas. The qualifications gained are accredited by the most recognisable accreditation bodies in the industry. I am fully qualified and insured to offer clients all the aesthetic treatments we offer and also how to deal with any medical emergencies should they arise. Since becoming qualified I have successfully conducted aesthetic treatments on hundreds of very satisfied patients. Please feel free to check out our reviews. Please feel free to ask any further questions during your consultation.
  • Where is your clinic located and is there parking available?
The GB Aesthetics studio is located on Kings Wood Gate, Monmouth. The studio is based at my home address but separated from the house, offering complete peace and privacy, as opposed to a busy high street. The drive is kept clear for customers to use and is protected by CCTV, so you can rest easily knowing your car is safe during your treatment.
